Beaches
Right next to you, about 1 km to the east, is the quiet and picturesque beach of Prasonisi and at a distance of about 10 minutes the organized beach of Agios Georgios with a tavern-bar on the sea.
To the east stretches an endless lace coastline that offers you many and unique options to enjoy an unforgettable experience swimming in the waters of the Libyan sea, drinking coffee or tasting fresh fish and local delicacies. Start this interesting exploration from your nearest beaches of Agios Pavlos, Ammolofi, Mikri and Megali Triopetra which are 5 to 15 minutes from your villas.
Islands PAXIMADIA
Paximadia are the two small uninhabited islands in the Libyan Sea that are located right across by the accommodation and dominate the view from wherever you are inside.
Because they are so close to each other (almost touching), the two islands appear as one from a long distance. Their total length is about 3 km. In ancient Crete these islands belonged to Phaistos and were called Dionysos, after the god Dionysus, the god of wine. They get their current name from their shape, reminiscent of Cretan hard bread (loaf).
On the easternmost islet, to the south, there is a wonderful beach, with fantastic crystal clear waters and pebbles, beautiful rocks and an amazing seabed. Access to Paximadia can be done by small boats that leave from Agia Galini.
Tourist Resorts
The villas are located between two of the most famous and popular tourist resorts of southern Crete. Just 20 minutes further east is the picturesque Agia Galini at the southernmost tip of the Libyan sea which has been attracting visitors from all over the world since the 1960s, maintaining its picturesqueness. Following the coastal road to the west you are in about 40 minutes in Plakias, a modern and rapidly developing tourist destination.
So if you feel the need for a little escape from the absolute tranquility and idyllic surroundings of the accommodation, the options are also available next to you. With a wide range of options for every taste in restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, beach parties and everything else you need to let loose!
Cultural activities
A multitude of cultural activities and events, festivals with traditional local musical groups, revival of local customs and culinary celebrations of local products held in the nearby villages, especially in the summer season, offer excellent options for entertainment and getting to know the local folklore and tradition.
Local Market
The rich welcome basket offered by the owners will cover your immediate needs in the first hours of arrival. For the supply of everything you will need during the days of your stay, you should visit organized super markets and the local market either in Agia Galini (20 minutes away) or for even more options in the capital of the province, Spili (30 minutes away). For additional immediate needs there is a mini market in Agios Pavlos (5 minutes away).
